Living Cake Free
I have always had a fondness for cakes. My fondness for these colorful delights began a long time ago when I was still a toddler. I can still remember the times when I would cry and cry in the strip mall until my mom agreed to buy me one. I mean, not one slice but the entire sheet cake with sugar flowers and all.
Fast forward to the present and I still have to have my cakes every so often. I don't eat them everyday, but I do have a hankering for them at last once a week. I would pass by some bakeries and cakes shops on my way to the subway and I normally end up buying a gigantic slice of bread pudding, a mini pumpkin pie, or a banana muffin.
I do know I have to stop and rein on my impulses. While I have been working out regularly since February, I did gain back the five pounds I lost over spring.
