Halloween is a big event in the USA. So big, stores dedicate aisle after aisle to Halloween merchandise like decorations, costumes, and candy many weeks prior to the big night. As an adult fun for me lies in watching the children dress in cute costumes. As a school teacher, I need not go far to see them. The children come to my classroom all decked for the event.

Just like always, I shall dress as a chef on this day. My students get a kick seeing me dress in a costume. They always laugh when I tell everyone that I am excited to see everyone in their chosen outfits, the girls in their soldier uniforms and the boys in their princess gowns. They know of course I am kidding.

I long for Halloween. Why? That's because three weeks after Halloween, we're off school for a week due to Thanksgiving. Then another three weeks after that, we're off for another two weeks because of Christmas. Boy, let these holidays begin!!!
