Marc, my partner, wanted to drive up to Reno last Saturday. Not really wanting to stay there overnight and with my work waiting for me at home, I suggested we took a day long trip instead. He agreed. But, we settled for Lake Tahoe over Reno. North Lake Tahoe, in particular.

It had been at least five years since we were up in this area and we were very pleasantly surprised to see the amount of snow. It had been a very wet winter after all.

I had never seen Donner Lake totally frozen. What a sight it was!
