Our First Afternoon in Yangon, Myanmar

24-Jan-2017 • Yangon Myanmar

Shortly after check in at our hotel, The Sule Shangrila, my partner, Marc, and I immediately set out to explore the city of Yangon.

Luckily for us, our hotel was the most centrally located hotel in all of Yangon. We walked to all the sights. The only reason we took cabs on two occasions was because of the heat. Anyway, we walked all over the city and it felt very safe everywhere.

Many of the streets seemed to lead to Independence Square.

This was the view from our hotel suite.

Independence Square was busy every day. Families and friends congregated here in droves and they all seemed to have a very good time enjoying each other's company.
