Missing Manila So Much
I never thought I would ever say this, but, I miss Manila. Yes, I miss the city I so desperately wanted to leave decades ago. I guess I miss the food a lot. I suppose they don't appeal to the foreign palate, but, I'm not a foreigner in the Philippines and I do adore the food. Gosh, if only weight and health issues weren't an issue, I would eat every Filipino dish I knew. Someone, anyone, take me back to the Philippines please!

Growing up in Manila, I looked forward to having my birthday cake purchased from THE cake shop in the Philippines for years and that was no other than GOLDILOCKS. Now that I've aged, the decorations don't appeal to me as much. However, they sure were the biggest draw to me as a child then. Boy, what memories!
The Philippine McDonald's! There are no burgers here though, folks!
I do miss going to Jollibee, the Filipino version of McDonald's fast food. How I miss the noodle dish called Palabok paired with fried chicken. All this for less than for $2.
