The Iguana Farm in Roatan
Marc had broken his arm early on during the cruise and there was no way we could go to the beach and swim to our heart's content all day long. We did that last year and this year, we both decided it was best to sign up for a more relaxed excursion around the Island of Roatan.
Sadly just like many shore excursions offered by cruise lines, there was the compulsory stop at a souvenir shop. That was our first activity for the day. Fortunately, the location afforded us a wonderful view of our ship while it was docked.
After the shopping came our first true stop, an incredible iguana farm. I initially didn't believe our guide when she told us that that we were going to find iguanas everywhere. "Don't we all see iguanas in the Caribbean?" I thought to myself. I did so the a few years ago during our trips to the US Virgin Islands and Aruba.
Little did I know that in the farm they were really going to be EVERYWHERE.
