On To Our Fifth Cruise
I find it hard to believe, but the cruise I looked forward to for months is now officially over. I am actually inside Miami International Airport's American Express Centurion Lounge blogging about our most recent and unforgettable trip.
Just like last spring, Marc and I sailed with Norwegian Cruise Line and traveled to the Panama Canal with stops in Colombia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Belize, and Mexico. Our fifth cruise began last March 23, 2016. We took an overnight flight from SFO to Florida's Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale. From there, we took a shuttle to the Port of Miami where we boarded our expceptional ship for an 11 day cruise. It was a special trip for both of us since it took us to South America.
We arrived very early in Fort Lauderdale. If my memory serves me right, we landed around 6 am. Since we couldn't really board the ship until 12 noon, we decided to stick around the airport for a few hours. Luckily for us, we found an NCL desk that offered shuttle service to the port. Marc and I each paid $25 for the shuttle service from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. As soon as the bus left, we dozed off catching up on some much needed sleep. The trip took approximately an hour.
Marc and I had flown into Fort Lauderdale's airport a few times before. However, I never took any pictures and I actually no longer had any idea how the airport looked. This time around, I was more than determined to take pictures to remember the place by. I know it is just an airport, but, then again, I love everything and anything about them.
