Filipino Food

I love Filipino food. Unfortunately, I don't cook and since Filipino restaurants in Northern California are almost all located in Daly City and the East Bay, I don't get to eat it as often as I would like to. Unlike other Asian cuisines like Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Japanese, it hasn't taken off and it is not as popular with the American populace. People aren't familiar with it except for lumpia, pancit, and adobo.

In the last few years, however, sisig has gotten very popular too and some young Filipino entrepreneurs have come up with this food truck which travels all around the city all day long and its main offer is sisig in a burrito wrap. I met a banker two years ago and he mentioned to me how popular it is especially at lunch time in the Financial District. "You should see the line snake around the block when it comes," he said.
