Lunch at Bun Mee
Last Saturday, I was determined to try some place new and eat in a new place we did. I must confess, my partner, Marc, and I have been in a rut for the longest time when it comes to eating out. We go to the same places and more often than not, eat the same food all the time. When it comes to Chinese food, we have our few favorites (Gourmet Carousel and Golden Horse are tops for us), for Japanese, the Rock on Pine and Grant, for Vietnamese, Five Spice along California St., for Mexican, the Cactus in Mission Bay, for Filipino, Ongpin, Boracay, and McKinley in South San Francisco and so on.
But by noon last Saturday, we made our way to Bun Mee along Market. I had passed by it literally hundreds of times as I head home from work but it was only when it was featured in a magazine because of its interior design did I really take notice.
I am not really into eating sandwiches which is this restaurant's main offer. Marc, however, loves the food and he can eat them wherever they're sold. We bought two sandwiches. One filled with the spicy catfish while the other had fried chicken . We shared. "Good" was our verdict and we would definitely return to eat here again.
As for the decor, well, I loved it!
