Andersen's Restaurant and its Pea Soup
Marc and I began our Christmas vacation last December 23. Just like last year, Las Vegas was our destination and we drove all the way from San Francisco with an overnight stop in Barstow. Along the way, we stopped for lunch in the Central Valley for pea soup at the Andersen's Restaurant and Hotel. I must say, for an hour there, I thought we were in back in Europe.

The restaurant had two wings. One section was completely full and we were ushered into the second wing where we were one of the first couples to dine there for the day.
