Thanksgiving week is a fun week for many people. It seems all of America goes on vacation and takes the entire week off now during this time of the year. I do say, this is my most favorite holiday. Nothing really beats families and friends getting together for Thanksgiving dinner.
The day before the big day, Marc and I went around the city center to see what was already up and ready for Black Friday, the day when lots of people go shopping and when they help place stores in the black.

A stop in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel is a must for us. Hey, this is where America's biggest gingerbread house can be found.
Here's a closer view of the gingerbread house. Try coming here on Black Friday and good luck looking at this sweet wonder. There are so many people visiting with families and having their pictures taken. It's fun and sweet to watch though.
Another hotel lobby to visit is that of the St. Francis. One can literally smell the sugar the castle is made off.
Cartier with its jaguars is an elegant sight.
The Burberry window not only looks chic but festive with its nutcrackers.
