In roughly a week the streets of America will fill with kids trick or treating. It is really big here in this country and I must say, I enjoy the celebration. Actually, it used to be even more festive in San Francisco when thousands descended on Castro Street to party or watch people dressed in absolutely hilarious and out of this world costumes. Sadly, this event had gotten so big and out of hand, it was discontinued for the safety of the general public.
Be there a street party or not, I always enjoy seeing the decorations practically everywhere.
Terrasol, a specialty store, along Polk Street, is one nice store. I enjoy visiting it especially during the holidays beginning in the fall. It has hundreds of home decorations for Halloween and Christmas. It never fails to catch my attention every time I pass by it.
Taken inside a mall in Japantown, Instead of the traditional red lanterns, skulls were hung there instead.
Inside Safeway. This old butler is so cute!
It's Darthvader!
What I just cannot resist. I know they're junk, but boy oh boy, are they yummy.
I went grocery shopping in Target this afternoon and I passed by the aisles selling costumes. A week before the big day, it is not surprising to see them sell like hotcakes. These were the leftovers.
There's not much left!
Of course, Halloween is not Halloween without candy. Lots and lots of them.
