Vacation Is Over, Time To Go Home!

16-Jul-2015 • Vancouver, British Columbia Canada

For our return trip to San Francisco, Marc and I flew Air Canada. We had a layover in Vancouver, BC and we were to take a UNITED flight from there.

We originally thought the flight was going to fly empty when we first boarded the plane in Heathrow. There were after all very few people at the waiting area. Little did we know it was going to fly full, really full.

I was just thankful there was a personal video screen in front of every seat. Food was not precisely spectacular but it was good nonetheless. If my memory serves me right, Air Canada likewise served more food than United, the airline we fly with all the time when possible.

We were supposed to have a long layover in Vancouver but luckily we were able to get on an earlier flight. While waiting of course, I had to tour Vancouver's celebrated and highly rated airport. I did visit it a couple of Christmases ago but I only got to tour the departure terminal.

My lunch. I believe it was a pasta dish.

I liked YVR a lot. I wouldn't mind flying there

if and when I have to have a layover somewhere before I fly back to San Francisco. The airport is so well laid out and spacious.

The US likewise has its own immigration post there which made it convenient for us. Upon arrival in SFO, all we had to do was get our luggage and off we went.

Hello California, we're back!
