A Hodge Podge of Nothing Special and All Things Trivial

Just as I mentioned in my last blog post, Marc and I recently purchased a camera. Our mini pocket one just didn't seem to take pictures with the crispness that we desired and so we bought another hoping it would solve our problem.

Today, we went for a walk around Union Square, Market Street, and the Westfield Mall test driving our newest purchase. We took pictures of the décor inside the stores we often shop in, the places we go to for lunches and dinners in the mall, and even of myself while I looked at purchasing yet another watch I no longer needed. Overall, the camera is a keeper.

Bloomingdales. I love the art work in this store. Every time I visit, there is always something interesting to look at and photograph.

This is what sets the Westfield Mall apart from all the other malls in the Bay Area. Its site is the former Emporium Department store and not only is it huge, it is likewise historic.

I love these chandeliers in the food court. My home could do with them.

I love Thai food and the Coriander is one terrific place to have my fix inside the Westfield Mall.

I love Korean food too. The portions from this place are huge. Marc and I usually split a two item combo. Otherwise neither of us just can't finish it all.

Inside Ross. The secret is out folks. This store is so good and its bargains priced so low, European tourists mob this place especially during peak tourist season. As soon as you see something you like here, grab and don't let go even if you are still thinking whether to make the purchase or not. I once dilly dallied and placed one hugely discounted TUMI Business Backpack on the rack. I thought I'd think about it for five short minutes while I walked around another section of the store. It turned out someone had his eyes on the same backpack while I was scrutinizing it and as soon as I returned to buy, the merchandise was gone. As Marc often tells me, "You snooze, you lose."

An interesting rack inside one of my most favorite stores in the city, Neiman Markup, I mean Neiman Marcus.

An exquisite Oscar de la Renta gown on display in Neiman. This is truly haute couture.

This was the beading on the gown. Pretty impressive, don't you think?
