The De Young Museum

12-May-2015 • San Francisco United States

Marc and I went to the De Young Museum in Golden Gate last Sunday afternoon. I specifically wanted to view the current exhibit of paintings from three leading Scottish museums. It being Mother's day and with the exhibit closing at the end of the month, the museum was packed. So packed, we simply decided to view everything superficially and vowed to return in a few days. Since it had been a couple of years since our last visit, we went and viewed the other collections. I must say, the De Young is truly world class. It s small compared to the National Gallery in London or the Louvre in Paris. However, it is impressive nonetheless and it is San Francisco's own.
