For years now, I would pass by this heart sculpture in Union Square and see hundreds of tourists pose next to it or sit on either side to have their photos taken. "Just for tourists." I muttured. Today, on the way home, it was all quiet in San Francisco's most popular shopping district and I told myself, "Why not?"

Thus, just like the others before me, I sat on the stone where the sculpture is placed, took my camera out and asked Marc, my partner, to take my picture. Voila! Here I am folks, a tourist in my own adopted city.
