Dearest Daddy,

It hasn't sunk in yet that you're gone. Just like any day, I simply think you are in Manila living out your daily routine of watching TV, answering crossword puzzles, and enjoying watching people from the garage of our home.

What can I say? I am so lucky to have had you for a dad. You and mommy were simply the best. You both gave me the most wonderful life you could possibly give. I cannot thank you enough for the love, the affection, and the support you have given me so that I can have the wonderful and comfortable life I now lead. I cannot thank you enough for teaching me to always work hard, to persevere, to have faith, and to always be kind. They have served me well in life. I cannot thank you enough for always being there for me.

Sure, we had our disagreements and misunderstandings, but which Fathers and sons don't? I want you to know that I love you very much and I know how much you loved me too. I will miss you so, so much. Once again, thank you for everything.
