On this visit to Vegas, Marc and I observed less people playing in the casinos. There were thousands upon thousands visiting here over the Christmas holidays but we saw more visitors sightseeing and shopping instead. After all, one can literally stay here a good week and still be hard pressed to enjoy all the sights along the strip not to mention watch the shows and eat in its ultra hip restaurants.

How times have changed. Vegas is no doubt the adult version of Disneyland, if you ask me. On Christmas day, all the stores closed down for the day and while we had time to spare before we joined my family for lunch, we walked along the Esplanade inside the Wynn Hotel again. I just couldn't get enough of the place. It was just the epitome of luxury, at least for me. I don't think any of the fanciest hotels in San Francisco could compare.
