Oakland Aviation Museum

I had mixed feelings about the Oakland Aviation Museum before our actual trip there one Saturday afternoon. I had read about it on the net and saw pictures of the place posted by travelers and visitors who had gone there previously.

The pictures I saw didn't really convince me to go out of our way to see it. After visiting it though, I would rate it a 6 out of 10. I did enjoy our visit.

The museum was small and had a very limited number of planes on exhibit. Depending on how interested you are in airplanes and aviation in general, a visit here could last from a mere few minutes to two hours. We did linger and read as much info we could about the planes on display. My favorite of all was the flying duck parked out in the lot outdoors. Too bad visitors were only allowed to board and browse on Sundays.
