I hardly eat chocolate nowadays. With my goal to lose weight and become lean, these yummy goodies are not exactly the best things to eat at anytime. Of course, I indulge every so often, but the phrase is 'just sometimes'.

One of the best times, if not the best, to snag literally bags after bags full of American brand candies like Hersheys, Nestle, Reeses, and the like at deeply discounted prices is the day after Halloween. It is to be expected now that the shelves full of these candies sell for 30% to half or even three quarters off their original price. One year, I decided to buy a cart full and paid only $20 for my purchases. I did not eat them all of course. I gave most of it away when I returned to Manila for a short vacation.
