Back in Caceres After 15 Years

21-Jul-2014 • Caceres Spain

I had been to Caceres before. I first visited the city 15 years ago with a fellow student from Madrid and we joined a whirlwind tour of Central Spain over a weekend with Mundojoven. Given the trip was so long ago and our stay in this city very short, I really wanted to visit it again more leisurely this time. Luckily, the University of Salamanca offered tours here one weekend in between midterms and finals week.

At the Plaza Mayor

The Plaza Mayor, all deserted during siesta time. I tell you, the Spaniards take their siesta seriously. Not just here but in all cities of Spain. Well, I suppose more so in Central Spain because it gets so unbelievably hot here from noon onwards.
