Montezuma Castle and Well
Over the Memorial Holiday weekend, Marc and I flew to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. I must say, it was one wonderful vacation. For years, I had always preferred visiting cities over national parks. That's just how I am. However, that all changed with our recent trip to Arizona.
I have never been as awed as much as I have been by the Grand Canyon. It was breathtaking. Before getting there though, we visited some other attractions close by like the Montezuma Castle and well.
The Montezuma Castle was different from all other castles I have seen and heard off. This one was perched high up inside the side of a mountain in the middle of the Arizona desert.

A short drive away was the Montezuma Well. Frankly, I hadn't any idea where these places were nor had I heard of them prior to our visit. Marc did all the research but I sure was glad I saw them for myself.
