Hall, Austria

26-May-2014 • Hall Austria

Hall was one city we had not planned on visiting. It was simply along the way from Salzburg to Innsbruck. Typical of Marc, he suggested that we took a look. Hence, we looked for a place to park our rental car, got off, and went about touring the tiny city given the culture vultures that we are. It was late afternoon when we arrived and everything seemed closed for the day. In fact, we hardly saw a single soul except for the young Austrian gentleman manning the mom and pop shop I bought postcards about Hall from. Anyway, the place was pretty and it seemed rather religious with the statue of the Virgin Mary and other murals depicting biblical scenes decorating the city all around.

The clock tower of the Rathaus or Town Hall

The partial image of the façade of a local Jesuit Church

A local building with a religious mural or painting its exterior side wall. I didn't realize Austrians were so religious.
