Lake Tahoe, Nevada

The beauty of the Lake Tahoe area is something I probably won't tire off. I have gone there for short and long weekends during different seasons of the year and I have always found it to be pretty. I especially like being there in the winter simply to be in the midst of all the snow.

This was taken shortly after we returned from a two week long holiday in the sunny Caribbean over my Christmas break. One colleague from school stated that it was perhaps a big let down coming here after the joy of being in the sun. Little did he know I loved the snow so much. It was a delight to be here too!

Some people come here to swim in the summer months. Marc and I actually did too. While the water was so crystal clear, it was freezing!

Here's one monument dedicated to the gold panhandlers of the Gold Rush era.
