Marc and I wanted to experience New Year's Eve in Taipei and we wanted to do it right around the area where the Taiwanese icon, the Taipei 101 Building, was located. A huge stage was built nearby for a New Year's Eve welcome with lots of Taiwanese celebrities gracing the show.

Even though there were thousands of revelers, the atmosphere felt extremely safe and peaceful, just the way I prefer it.
