Harajuku is to Tokyo as Ximending is to Taipei. That's how I view it. Ximending is without any doubt the place where young Taiwanese hang out. Pracically all the stores here catered to this age range. It is pretty lively throughout the day but more so at night when all the buildings are lit and the facades more colorful.
