The Galleria Alberto Sordi, A Luxury Mall in Rome

I was quite surprised to find out that department stores were not a big thing in Rome and even in Florence. La Rinascente was the only one I saw that closely resembled the department stores we have in the US. This chain had a branch in the Galleria Alberto Sordi.
On our very first day in Rome, we passed by this mall, a modern looking one in the midst of very ancient Rome.

We spent Christmas in Munich this year but I sure was glad to see a lot of the Christmas décor in Rome when we arrived there December 27.
The building was old just like all the buildings in the Eternal City. The décor though was very beautiful.
