Exploring Siem Reap and Last Minute Shopping

27-Oct-2013 • Siem Reap Cambodia

Our trip to Banteay Srei ended shortly past lunch time. Since we had the afternoon off, we decided to tour the city once again and visit some the the many art galleries, restaurants, and markets. As usual, it was time for some last minute shopping. I ended up buying some Cambodian shirts for myself and a bit more.

The fashionable Terrasse des Elephants. Marc and I wanted to dine here but the place was always empty every time we went. For us, an empty restaurant meant a NO GO. So, we left and went someplace else where it was teeming with customers.

The following pictures were of restaurants where Marc and I either had lunch or dinner in throughout our stay in Siem Reap. As far as I can recall, our meals together did not cost more than $5 each time. It was that cheap!

The Soup Dragon

The Temple Club where Marc and I had buffett dinner on our last night in the city. There was even a show about the traditional Apsara dancing.

I was so glad to find out there was an Artisans D'Angkor in the airport. I kept looking for it in downtown Siem Reap but couldn't find it. It turned out their city store was in front of Angkor Wat.
