Off to Helsinki, Finland!
On July 8, 2013, Marc and I embarked on our almost yearly sojourn to a faraway land. Nothing exotic. Just Europe. This time around, we decided to concentrate on Finland and the Baltic States, namely, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. From Vilnius, we travel to Norway and then Denmark where we take our flight back to the US by way of Toronto, Canada.

My main meal. My Lunch consisting of penne pasta with meatballs, salad, bread and jam.
Here you go. That's the penne pasta I was talking about. The food was neither good nor bad. Just blah.

I was quite surprised to be served such meal. I honestly thought some more food was coming. But, no. This was it prior to landing in Frankfurt. For an international flight, I was very disappointed with UNITED for serving us such poor meal. I often hear airlines cutting back on many things to cut costs. However, ever since airlines have been charging for checked luggage, their profits have gone sky high yet they keep cutting services. I just couldn't believe it. We need to look at flying with some other airline, a really decent one.
