Last Day in France, The Return to Paris

5-Jul-2013 • Paris France

On the very last day of our tour to France, we had almost a whole day all to ourselves in Paris. Our UNITED flight back to San Francisco from Charles de Gaulle Airport wasn't going to leave until late in the day. We decided to revisit some of the beautiful sights we had seen three weeks earlier. Like every trip we take, there was always that feeling of sadness that our vacation was over and that we were leaving Paris and France. We had a wonderful time. The places we visited were all very pretty and the people we traveled with were all very warm and friendly. Thanks to our tour guide, she booked us on a shuttle back to the airport for a lot less than a cab normally would. The shuttle was so very much like the airport shuttles we had back in the States. We certainly were leaving with wonderful memories. Thank goodness for the pictures we took, we can always reminisce and revisit the places we had been to.

The Paris Opera, truly magnificent

We didn't have time to join any tours of the theater but others did. There were many people inside.

The dramatic stairs leading to the theater

In Vendome once again. Definitely Paris' most luxurious and elegant area to see and be seen.

Arch de Triomphe, impressive both at daytime and night time

Well, this is it folks. Our Paris and France vacation is over. At least for now. We hope to return. Meanwhile, there is so much in this world we have to to see. Our journey continues. From the Globetrotting teacher, I bid you ADIEU and See you later!
