My San Francisco

2-Apr-2013 • San Francisco United States

San Francisco is my home. Although I was born and raised in Manila, I have really lived in this beautiful City by the Bay longer than any place I have lived in anywhere in the world.

When in San Francisco, especially if you are here for the very first time, a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge is a MUST. Walk on the bridge and walk the whole length from one end to the other. Hopefully, the day will be sunny, warm, and clear so as to get good views of the city and the bay. However, even if it is not, a foggy day is not bad either. It is going to be cold, no doubt, but a bridge covered in fog is actually the real bridge experience.

The Bay Bridge of San Francisco

Everytime one thinks of San Francisco, one immediately thinks of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. There is another bridge in the city which is equally impressive. The Bay Bridge is even easier to visit given the fact that it is by the Embarcadero, walking distance from Union Square.

The quintessential Cable Car

Every time I see promotional materials about the city enticing people to visit San Francisco, a picture of the cable car is more often than not included. I do agree with many that a San Francisco is not complete without a ride on it. I still remember the very first time I rode on it centuries ago when the world was young.
