The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge
More images of the Sydney Opera House during our first full day in Sydney
Same area of the Opera House where visitors hang out. The ceiling is also made of glass for everyone to see the day and night skies. How dramatic!
On the steps of the Sydney Opera House around 8:30 am shortly before our guided tour of the place. It was a bit nippy that morning of July 11, 2011 although it turned warm and sunny by the tour's end mid day.
Here we are in Circular Quay with a view of the Sydney Opera House in the background.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the places to get very good views of the City of Sydney and its sights.
Here's a truly beautiful view of the iconic Sydney Opera House from the Harbour Bridge. Water boats that shuttle people from different points of Circular Quay is a common sight as well just like the one in the foreground of this picture.
A close up view of the same water boat that shuttle visitors and locals alike to various different points in Circular Quay. We rode one exactly like this boat when we traveled from the amusement park to Darling Harbour.
Luna Park, a popular amusement park in Sydney similar to San Francisco Bay Area's Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Melbourne also had its very own Luna Park.
A closer front view of the entrance to Luna Park.
A Ferris Wheel inside Luna Park. Can you see the Harbour Bridge in the background?
More views inside Luna Park
I was quite surprised to see a big crowd in Luna Park. School aged children were everywhere with their parents. We later found out that school was out for a couple of weeks due to winter break.

This by far is my most favorite view of the Sydney skyline. Another shot taken from Luna Park
