The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa, February 2012
Whenever I travel, I usually buy tons of postcards to place in my photo albums and combine them with the pictures I take during my travels. One of the picture postcards I saw and bought for my Palm Springs photo album had a very interesting view of the lobby of the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa in Desert Springs, one of the neighboring cities of Palm Springs.
If it became part of the city's postcard series, I figured it must be pretty indeed and worthy of a visit. Given that Marc wanted to see what there was outside the city of Palm Springs, we took a day trip out to the Desert Cities and we were not disappointed.
The hotel's lobby was huge. Marc and I walked around the premises and visited its shops. I couldn't help but get the feel of the late 80's and early 90's from its decor. Not that it was decorated purposely that way. I get the impression that the hotel just hasn't been renovated, remodeled, and updated since it was built.
The most impressive part of the hotel's lobby was the indoor pool which stretched to the outdoors. It was simply amazing.
