The Citadelle of Quebec

11-Aug-2010 • City of Quebec Canada

Anyway, this is what we saw at the Citadelle.

On the grounds of the Citadelle.  The buildings behind me were the barracks of the Royal Canadian Guards.

Upon entry in the Citadelle, one sees this phrase.  "Je me souviens"

Marc and I first heard of this phrase when we toured the Parliament Building when we first arrived in the city.

Inside the Citadelle.  The green tiled roof of the Chateau Frontenac can be seen on the right.

This is the entrance to the Governor General's residence

With Marc at the terrace of the Governor General's residence.  While touring the residence of Quebec's highest ranking official, firing canons could be heard over and over again all over the Citadelle.  It was part of the paid tour some visitors came to see.
