National Theater for the Performing Arts

After visiting the Lama Temple, Marc and I headed to the National Theater for the Performing Arts of Beijing, also known colloquially as The Egg.  It was completed in 2007 by French architect Paul Andreu.  This building was easy to visit as it was very close to Tianamen Square.  This building has been the center of culture in the Chinese capital with a repertoire of classics like La Boheme and historic productions of the Dr. Sun Yat Sen, an opera commemorating the late revolutionary Chinese leader.
