On our last afternoon in Auckland, we decided to visit K Road.  We heard so much about the place when we were there and we saw it a few times when we were on the bus that went around the city on a loop.  We knew we just had to visit it and wander up and down the popular long road .  Honestly, it reminded me of Berkeley back home.  It was full of restaurants, bars, clubs, and mom and pop stores.  I found it very multicultural too.  There were loads of stores and take away restaurants selling trinkets and food from all over Asia from Nepal to Indonesia.  It is THE happening place in Auckland and it is frequented by young people especially in the weekends.
