El Monumento a la Revolución
The Monumento a la Revolución is a landmark and monument commemorating the Mexican Revolution. It is located in Plaza de la República, near the Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida de los Insurgentes in downtown Mexico City.
Just block away from our hotel, we saw it every single day each time we left and returned to our hotel. It sure was an impressive sight and bus loads of tourists gathered here throughout the day. It is one sight not to be missed when visiting the capital city.
I am very pleased that we took this trip to Mexico City. Some friends both from the US and from Europe advised us against it. But, with a lot of safety precautions, a visit here can be just as fun and memorable. We opted for UBER every time we wanted to get around and stayed away from the Metro or subway. We also stayed mostly in the tourist areas like the Centro Historico, El Paseo de la Reforma, and Polanco where there were plenty of security personnel.
We enjoyed ourselves so much we plan to go again.
