It was hard for me to watch the videos of fellow Asian Americans getting beat up for no reason other than the fact that they were Asian. 

How else can one explain the savagery of the beatings?  It is hard to understand how some people feel they have the right to hurt and sometimes kill and then appear to have absolutely no remorse for what they have done.   What savages! 

What bothers me too is that everyone in the immediate area where the crime takes place is frozen with fear and is scared to help.  If I am not mistaken, it was reported in the nightly news that people should not intervene.  I can understand that any potential good samaritan might get himself or herself in danger.  How the criminals have won! Have we now all become so scared that we just let criminals run amok in our communities?  What a painful reality we now face in this country.
